Proposed measure would also allow customer advocates to conduct investigations

Senate Majority leader Loretta Weinberg has sponsored an NJ Transit Reform bill that she hopes will better serve the transit agency’s customers by creating an Independent Consumer Advocate position. The bill would also force the agency to give the public a week's notice of agenda items for board meetings and makes room for commuters to serve as board members.
