A proposed offshore wind farm is on a collision course with a group of Long Beach Island residents who are suing the government over what they say was a failure to study the environmental impact before leasing the project. The installation would bring as many as 200 turbines roughly eight miles from the shore. The group, Save Long Beach Island' wants the turbines placed farther out to sea.
