These are stories of people who went to war, who stayed at home, who had war come to them and how they all were affected. Ordinary American men and boys find themselves in uniform and tell of facing the harsh realities of war. Women in uniform tell of their pride in serving. On the homefront, one San Antonio child finds it hard to think of German POWs as the enemy.
