ARTS looks back at the history and the race to save the Majestic Theatre in the late 80’s
The Majestic Theatre opened its doors in 1929 and was one of the first air conditioned building in San Antonio. By the late 1980’s the Majestic Theatre was closed and it was even proposed for it to be demolished and turned into a parking lot. The story of how the Majestic Theatre was saved and is now an integral part of downtown San Antonio is on the next edition of ARTS.
