And when he passed away, it became mine.
APPRAISER: Handel was a company in Meriden, Connecticut, made this sort of lamp early part of the 20th century, they-- but they started in the late 19th century.
Um, I think the good news is that the shade alone is probably a $4,000 to $6,000 shade, but if you had the base, probably it'd be double that.
GUEST: Wow, okay.
APPRAISER: So, $8,000 to $12,000 for the lamp.
GUEST: Oh, my goodness.
APPRAISER: It's kind of a shame, but we don't know how elaborate or how good the base was.
