I pay homage to Austin's unofficial and underrated mascot the grackle. The 12 x 12 oil and pencil paintings and drawings on birch wood show the less decorated show bird in its splendor caught in poses on the fence in my back yard. My other larger oil paintings are identifiable by the gauged surfaces and defaced images from attacking my paintings with a chisel in the final process.
